Message from the Board
Posted By Susan Elmorabit on June 1, 2020
The Board has approved the following message in response to the curfew imposed today and security concerns:
Dear Residents,
Due to the unrest in the past few days sweeping the nation and sensitive information coming into law enforcement agencies, I am calling upon our residents to remain vigilant during this time to help secure our peaceful community. I have called upon the board to authorize extra security patrols for tonight and tomorrow night based on actionable
intelligence. As a peace officer, I would like to offer the following information to increase awareness and safety.
- Obey any local curfews.
- Makes sure your properties and vehicles are locked and secured.
- Leave exterior lighting on where practical to illuminate our neighborhood. This may
prevent some illegal activity and help to identify criminals. - Contact the Fontana Police Department when a suspicious person(s) or vehicles are seen.
“If you see something, say something.” - The non-emergency number for the Fontana Police Department is: (909) 350-7700
- In the event of an emergency, dial 911. To receive the best possible service, please be
prepared to answer the following types of questions. - Address where service is needed
Type of service needed.
Physical and clothing descriptions of the person(s) or vehicles possibly involved.
Their actions, last known location, or direction of travel.
Any weapons IF SEEN!
This type of information is important for officer safety and helps with criminal apprehension. Be safe. Take care of your family, and watch out for your neighbors. Together we will keep our community safe.
Sincerely,
Victor Ruiz
President
